Terms and Conditions of Application and Contract

1. This is a non-profit event. Volunteer members of the Bay Area Book Artists (BABA) are promoting the event at Foothill College, 12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos, California. BABA is a subgroup of the non-profit entity South Bay Area Women's Caucus for Art (SBAWCA).

2. It is the sole obligation of the Promoter to furnish a table in the Foothill Community College student center, provide general lighting, heating and cleaning of common areas and provide signage and promotional materials. All responsibility for staging the individual table remains with the exhibitor.

3. One or two artists may occupy a table. Both names should appear on this application form.

4. Not-for-profit arts organizations and educational institutions may sponsor a table to promote awareness of their organization.

5. The exhibitor agrees to occupy the contracted exhibit space during the full term of the show (from 10am and 5pm) and will not dismantle their display prior to the end of the event.

6. The exhibitor will set-up their table display from 8am to 10am on October 12, 2002

7. The exhibitor agrees to remove all property from the Foothill College student center by 6pm on October 12, 2002.

8. The exhibitor will exhibit only the products described in the contract. ALL WORK EXHIBITED MUST BE HANDMADE BY THE ARTIST.

9. The exhibitor shall not assign any rights or sublet the space without the prior written agreement of BABA.

10. All the exhibitor's property at the show shall be at the sole risk of the exhibitor. SBAWCA and Foothill College assumes no responsibility for loss or damage thereto.

11. The exhibitor agrees to be responsible for any licenses or permits and taxes associated with the sale of work at the show.

12. A fee of $25 will be levied on each applicant accepted into the event. This is payable at the time of application and deposited at time of acceptance. There will be a $25 charge on all checks returned due to insufficient funds. Include a sufficiently large stamped self- addressed envelope for the return of application materials

13. In the event that the facility in which the show is to be held becomes unavailable for occupancy for whatever reason, SBAWCA and Foothill college will not be responsible for any loss of business, profits or expenses of whatever nature incurred by the exhibitor.
